How Do You Know? Poem by Rylie Shoop

How Do You Know?

What gives you the right to tell me that I don't know what love is? When the birds fly by tweeting their song ever-so-lightly. When the butterflies in my stomach begin to flutter their wings, just dying to get out and spill all over the page. Wanting to break free from everything that they have managed to go through. How do you know what my feelings are when you pay no attention to the girl that holds them? She can only feel the real stress that comes upon her when she sees his beautiful, flawless, perfect, wonderful face. And all she can say is, '...', nothing. Nothing at all. And that is what scares her the most inside, she will never be able to tell him how she really feels. How will he EVER know?
