I fear death many times
Am I a coward? A fool?
To not be forever
To not know life
Which despite its pain and difficulties
Is so rich
Is everything -

To not see to not be
Ever again with all those I love
To place all hope in another world
I can only try to believe in-

I don't know
I only know
As I write these lines
How happy I am to be alive
How grateful I am to God
For the life already given me
How much I want to live.
