How sad is this broken heart of mine.
How sad is this broken heart of mine,
Shattered and smashed into pieces so fine.
On this floor its pieces lay,
Leaving my soul in dismay.
How could I let this happen,
Maybe because of my lack of action.
I see my wrongs and wish to make them right,
But I cannot fix them when your eye's are closed so tight.
How sad is this broken heart of mine,
I gather the pieces I can find,
And in this box they will be confine.
Chained and locked in this box,
And buried deep under the dirt and rocks.
I hide my heart in fear of the pain,
That love will bring to drive me insane.
How sad is this broken heart of mine,
That it leaves a pain in my chest that cannot be define.
A void in my life with it broken,
Leaving me with no hope of kind words to be spoken.
With your love gone from my heart,
It withered and died as it fell apart.
No love, no happiness do I feel anymore,
Because it was you whom my heart adored.
