How You Made Me Feel Poem by tom Le Guilcher

How You Made Me Feel

I have spent my life trying to hide,
From that feeling of dread,
You give me inside.

Nothing was good enough,
Nothing was right,
You always managed,
To win the fight.

No matter what,
I did or said,
You made me feel,
I was better off dead

I wanted to please you,
I wanted to try,
But you always managed,
To make me cry.

I feel I should love you,
But this isn’t true,
The pain in my life,
Is attributed to you.

Now I am moving on,
Now I am strong,
You would never believe,
How much I have grown.

I am motivated by the fact,
You ruined my life,
In the past.

I won’t be beaten,
I won’t be crushed,
Because I have learnt,
I am worth too much.

I know you would love,
To see me fail,
But this won’t happen,
I will Prevail.

There is something inside me,
That gives me strength,
I felt I could go,
To any length.

But now you are free,
I cripple with fear,
I pray to God,
That you won’t come near.

This isn’t over,
I will see it through,
Even if it means,
another fight,
I will do;

Whatever it takes,
To make things right,
I have started a battle,
I will win this fight.

You controlled my life,
For far too long,
I cannot allow it,
To keep going on.
