Human / A Sigh In The Night Poem by Lamerre Lucie

Human / A Sigh In The Night

Keep your head held high,
Keep your fists clenched tight,
Hold your breath again
And keep your tears inside.

What will it take,
For you to break down in tears again?
Aren't you tired of being a man?

It's been a while since
You have smiled,
Or let your tears flow on your cheeks,
Or let a sigh tear the thick night,
Or let someone see through your mask;

And you forgot that you're human.
And you forgot that to be strong
Is to allow your weaknesses,
Yet face your fears, follow your dreams.

Let the mask fall,
Despair consume,
And a sigh tear the dark, thick night.
