Human Toys Poem by Tammy Nicholls

Human Toys

She grabs her keys, her coat, her bag
As she walks toward the door
Today is done, the night is soon
She closes up the store

Walking fast towards her car
She senses something near
Looking back she sees someone
Her heart now pumps with fear

Footsteps now advance her way
Their pace seems hard and fast
Running now to find her car
Before this days her last

What she doesn't seem to know
He's moved her car away
She's now become what he does call
A nice and easy prey

He grabs her swiftly from behind
Slamming her to the ground
The impact of this knocks her out
This poor girl he has found

He takes his time to end her life
This power he feels, he enjoys
For every person he does kill
Are only his human toys
