Humanity - Poem by Tayyab Ijaz

When I look towards the life
My heart aches and bleeds
To see the wailing humanity
The poor are dying with hunger
Wallowing in distress and being fired
The mightiers are just trampling over
The desires of the weaker ones
The suffering beings The world over
Bring tears to the sensitive souls
Love and peace may be cherished
But are turned just to dreams

Insightful poem that acknowledges the interrelatedness of reality, with subtle clarion call for universal brotherhood of man. A lovely piece well brought forth from the heart. Thanks for sharing Tayyab. (Report) Reply
