Humorous Parody Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Humorous Parody

North winds may blow
They don't always bring snow.

Little Bo Peep and Little Boy Blue
Fell in love, and they lived in a shoe,
Soon to be singing rock-a-by-baby
Soon to be playing pat-a-cake too.

But Little Bo Peep went back to her sheep.
Said Little Boy Blue ~ 'well buckle my shoe'
Now what on earth shall I do? '
Said one wise owl ~ 'throw in the towel'.

Solomon Grundy said 'wait until Monday'.
'We suggest you leave it at that' said
Little Miss Muffat and poor Jack Spratt...
'And the sun may come smiling through'.

North winds may blow
They don't always bring snow.
