Hush Little Baby (Part 3) Poem by Kelvin Owusu

Hush Little Baby (Part 3)

Rating: 5.0

Hush little baby don't you cry
I'll be by your side before your eyes
open wide
promises made before your birth
to keep you safe and stick by

Hush little baby don't you cry
I'm going to do the best that I can,
to catch every tear dropp from your eyes
I promise that I will try
to help you grow and allow you to shine
I'll be your home, make you a home
my little angel, you'll never be alone

Hush little baby don't say a word
by the time you're ready to draw your first breath
I'll have the world ready for you
although we haven't met yet
I love you with all that I am
just so you know, I'll make a song cry
even die before I make you cry
I'll be there to greet you good morning
and be home in time to tuck you in
and kiss you goodnight

Hush little angel don't you cry
the thought of you in my arms
creates a joyful tear
I love you

wow.so romantic pal. it reminds me one of the best song written and performed by Pink Floyd(Roger Waters) named Mother. One part of his song begins with the first verse of yours.(hush the baby don't you cry....) . anyway i love your poem.
