Hymns For Wine, (God Is Good Liquor) Poem by Kevin Patrick

Hymns For Wine, (God Is Good Liquor)

Rating: 5.0

The difference between religion
and the comforts of beer and wine
is that the latter has more substance
in helping commune with the divine

A lifetime spent in fevered prayers
waiting for some omnipotence
can be found within an hour's waste
of intoxicated wickedness

Salvation through inebriation
is the true path to repentance
A sip of spirits can spring such bliss
That leaves you in true transcendence

teach the grape and not the bible
and ours will be a richer hearth
Paradise is no afterlife
Its the greatest party on this earth
