I Am Poem by Vi Lanflagle

I Am

Rating: 5.0

The way that I am
Has nothing to do with you,
And everything to do with them.

I am who I am,
Because I chose it,
So I’m who I want to be.

You’ll never unravel me,
I’m too complicated for all that,
You can’t beat me down;
I’ll just get back up.

I laugh at everything
But usually it’s nothing,
I smile at what’s in my head,
Or just because I can.

I love music,
Without it I would die,
Definitely.

I have OMGD,
Sometimes I lose my head,
And you’d think I was on something.

I don’t drink,
I don’t smoke,
You might call me a goody goody,
I call me smart.

I’m a good listener,
But just as good a talker;
I’ll talk about everything,
And usually anything.

I’m still learning,
Give me time,
I won’t get it right on the first try.

I’m game for learning new stuff,
But I’d rather do it my own way
On my own time.

Shut up and listen to me,
Sometimes I cry,
Because I don’t know what else to do.
Or I scream because I can’t cry.

I have reading down to a science,
I do word searches for fun,
I’ve always been an outcast
And I hate commercials! ! !

I’m a writer, a singer,
An actress, a friend,
A daughter, and a sister.

I have my off days,
But then who doesn’t?
I change my mind often.

This is one of
The screwiest poems
I have ever written,
But are you starting to see who I am?

I LOVE IT! ! ! (please excuse the screaming.) I feel that we are very much alike (seriously, if you asked me to write an I Am poem it would be scarily similar) . Anyway, I'm giving you a ten. -Storm
