I Am Poem by James Charles Hutsell ( Aka Butch )

I Am

I will not pretend to be
any more than what you see;
nor any less than what I am
I am a man, I am.

Free to choose whom I may love
And feel no shame from 'God' above;
look at me, know who I am
I am my love, I am.

Know the reason in my rhyme
be yourself within my time,
need me as I am.
I am hope, I am.

Reflections of what you are not?
No. What you are.
The mirror that I am.
