I Am A Lady, Sir! Poem by Sandra Dodd

I Am A Lady, Sir!

I am a lady, sir!

Who the hell do you think you are?
I am a woman of good repute,
which no one doth refute.
Your advances are farce!

Who the hell are you
to assault my virtue?
I am going about my day,
don’t be a bother in my way!

Who the hell do you think I am?
Sir if I wanted to kiss you,
I would make you miss me and seek me out.
No mystery!

Who the hell do you think I will be?
if I surrender to your lechery?
A vixen of common sort,
comportment with your kind cant consort!

Who the hell do you think we are?
In an affair, now we have a scar!
Compose yourself from afar,
And do not acknowledge me
For I am still a lady, Indeed!
