I am an Acoholic

I am an alcoholic
This I know is true
I have a voice inside me
Saying 'it's alright,
grab another beer and
say Cheers to a good night! '

I am an alcoholic
Sad to say it's true
My life is crumbing
and before me there's
nothing I can do

I am an alcoholic
Yes its true
but time to stand up
and fight the demon inside

I am an alcoholic
forever and always will be
But no longer will I allow
the disease to have control over me! !

Proving that the poem can be more powerful than the bottle. And a longer lasting high. Keep writing. (Report) Reply

poet William Butler Yeats

WINE comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
