I Am An Old Man /I Am Retired Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Am An Old Man /I Am Retired

I am an old man
I am retired
I sit on a bench in the park
On a beautiful sunny morning
It is so calm
It is so beautiful
But I am an old man with nothing to do
And beauty or no beauty
I am useless.

Useless? You always may give Zdaka, dear Shalom! Zdaka is indifferent to beauty.
