I Am Thirsty Poem by Franz Velasco

I Am Thirsty

I am thirsty for water,
Lightheaded for air,
Everything essential.

Dragged down to the ground,
Weak gravity,
pulls my weak body;

Dizzy.

Unbalanced.

Weak.

My heart wrenching;
Begging for what is lacking;

A sight;

A touch;

Your smell;

Summons my ethereal soul;
Towards the sound of your heart beat;
Lifting my spirits high.

Everything I need,
Your rosy scent;
Your disorienting kiss;

You.
