I Can Be Me Poem by Karen Montegrande

I Can Be Me

I never expected to much from people,
'Cause they told me to keep it down,
I never wished for much more than i could get,
'Cause i knew in the end i'll just be crying with too much regret,
This life offers many things to do, many things to practice and many things to pursue,
But with each pages of the book of our lives,
We sometimes fail and then we refuse to try,

I never had too many cool experience,
'Cause i choose to always be right,
I never met too many people,
'Cause i was pessimistic and often get fooled by lies,
Until i met people who viewed life the opposite way,
I met people who didn't refuse to stay,
I met people who liked me as me,
I met people who accepted both good and bad things about me,
Nobody's perfect they told me but for me, I can be close to perfect especially when we find people that makes us HAPPY,
And i THANK YOU, 'Cause I CAN BE ME!
