I Can Do Better. Poem by Oscar Munir

I Can Do Better.

You know the silence you normally give me,
dropping my calls and ignoring my texts,
All those lies you tell me and you want me to believe,
you go on dates with other girls, like I don't exist,
I can do better.

You have never run out of excuses and,
I have never stopped believing,
Those late night calls, sometimes you even sneak out of the house,
You think I don't realize all you do but I very well do,
Just so you know, I can do even better.

There are things that you do that sometimes have me wondering,
How can you call and text other girls while you are besides me?
Like I'm invisible to you, like I don't matter,
I don't even think you know how disrespectful and painful that is,
Tit for tat, I can play your game better.

Loving you was a choice that I made,
It's still me, I can make another,
I'm good at learning new things and implement them,
Please play with the right cards and don't push me too hard,
For whatever you do, I can even do better.
