I Can See: Poem by Brittney Karasek

I Can See:

I can see your eyes in the darkness.
I can see them in my sleep.
The ever beautiful contrast makes me weep.

So I'll weep, I'll weep for you,
and let you keep, the rest of me to.
I'll give you my body, hoping in vain you'll want my soul.
Because I know you don't...i'm burning a hole.

For, when you're flying, I'm silently dying.
For when you're high, I'll see your eyes,
the most beautiful shade of blue.
If you were alone like this,
the emptiness would kill you too.
