Have you ever been so lost
Ever needed to just cry
So you let loose your eyes
But you always got by
But,
What if the tears don't form
What if your eyes are dry
What if you feel so lorn
What if you just can't cry
Where do your feelings go
Where inside do they hide
Why would they never show
Why would they pain you so
My Eyes are dry
Marbles of stone
I can't get by
Oh, WHY CAN'T I CRY
A lovely and well encapsulated piece of poetry penned with insight. The articulation of your train of thoughts doesn't seem like that of a novice. A beautiful poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
This poetic expression of a state of depression is a masterpiece in itself. I have no words to appreciate your composition which is an honest account of a heavy heart. You deserve full marks. Best wishes.
Not bad at all for a novice...Many people, of which I am one, do not show their grief, sadness or any depressive emotions through tears...Furthermore, many of these non-cryers are more sympathetic, sensitive and empathetic than those who cry at a drop of a hat...Absolute human emotion comes from the heart, and that's what counts. albeit, it can certainly place a strain on someone who wants to let it out and clear their locked-in grief, as your above work quite skillfully projects ~FjR~
