I Close The Reflection Moon Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

I Close The Reflection Moon

Rating: 3.8

I close my swimming pool, this afternoon.
And so, the reflection moon at the bottom of my pool.
Red roses are beautifully bright around my swimming pool.
Air temperature is cooler so rose petals last longer.
By October, days are getting dark sooner.
The sooner the sun goes to sleep,
The longer the nights extend their encircling arms
Koi ponds are now crystal clear.
Hearing my footsteps, Kois are excited as they wait for food.
They wag their tales as they swim in circles.
They eat to store more fat for their winter hibernation.
There are no more flying bees or butterflies during fall.
Outdoor kittens have grown and they play at the Rose Garden.
Rose bushes are at my waist high.
Without biting insects, rose petals are perfect.
Autumn night dew is getting much colder.
Freezing frost will end my rose season after one more week.

Above is translation poem of the Vietnamese poem of NHIEN NGUYEN MD:

TÔI ĐẬY BÓNG TRĂNG ĐÁY HỒ

Hồ bơi tôi đậy chiều nay
Thế là tôi đậy bóng trăng đáy hồ.
Quanh hồ, rực đỏ hoa hồng
Khí trời lành lạnh, cánh hồng nở lâu.
Tháng Mười, ngày tối thật mau
Mặt trời ngủ sớm, đêm dài tay ôm.
Hồ Koi, nước rất là trong
Nghe người bước tới, cá bơi chờ mồi.
Vẫy đuôi, cá lội vòng vòng
Cá ăn thêm mập, để rồi ngủ Đông.
Trời Thu, vắng bóng bướm ong
Mèo con đã lớn, nằm chơi vườn hồng.
Hồng cao, cành tới thắt lưng
Sâu bọ hết phá, cánh hồng nguyên trinh.
SưƠng đêm đã lạnh thật nhiều
Chỉ một tuần nữa tiêu điều cành trơ.
