I'D Have To Learn To Miss Poem by Sherri Vogel

I'D Have To Learn To Miss

I've been waiting for a lifetime
For a moment just like this
When you and I would share
A very special kiss.
And here you are beside me
Sitting in the car
Funny after all these years
We'd meet in a bar.
And still for some strange reason
I'd recognize your face
After basically you left my world
Without a single trace.
As you're sitting here beside me
Staring in my eyes
You make me very nervous
Do you realize.
There's so much I'd like to tell you
About the way I feel
And with you sitting here
It seems like no big deal.
I swear it should be easy
But for some reason it's just not
To tell you that I like you
And you're on my mind a lot.
You can not imagine
How great this night has been
I'm so very thankful
I seen you again.
Everything is perfect
I'd love for us to kiss
But that would give me one more thing
'I'd Have To Learn To Miss.'
