I Dare Not Wake Her Up. Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

I Dare Not Wake Her Up.

Rating: 5.0

My little boat
is on the move.
She, my friend
is sleeping in my boat.

I dare not wake her up.

In the depth of this silence
of the river in the moonlight,
my eyes look for my soul-friend.

My ears listen to His whispers.

My heart seeks its passion
to look for the face of God
in the lusty moonlight.

I dare not wake her up.
