I Died That Day Poem by Aakash Nengroo

I Died That Day

Rating: 5.0

I died that day, when they
In their blood spilled robes
Laid seige to the shrine
I could hear the news
Of my death on the lips
Of the mourners- i passed by

I saw them taking my body
My mother wailing...torturing herself
I died that day...when they
With the crooked muzzles of..
Their black monsters...tormented
Tortured...killed..the innocent soul
Of a thirteen year old
I died that very day...

I looked up from my grave
Saw the crimson red sky..ashes
All over the paradise turned hell
And rememmbered the day i died
Realised the similarity between
Then...and...Now..i felt no change
I lowered my head with fear of being killed
Again...took refuge in my dark grave

I died that day..when sky
Trembled with the demonic roar
The guns showered wrath
Everywhere..bodies of sons being carried by fathers
What a heavy weight..
I died that day...it was year 2008

I died that day..but the death
Didnt spare me till now...inflicted
Pain..i see every day paradise
Being bathed in blood...cryst
Snow cherishing the red blood...
Decorating itself with red drops..jewels
I remained suspended that day...
Even now...in the dark alley of life and death
