I don't know how to say goodbye,
Its hard, I can't even try.
I don't want to be the one to forget your name,
Make you weep, I don't want to be the blame.
I don't know how to smile and walk away.
Vanish! And remove the sun out of your day.

I don't know how to say goodbye.
Its sad, cause you did not die.
I don't want to leave you aflame,
Break your heart! I don't want to maim.
I can't turn around and leave you dismay,
Or tear you apart and abandon things in disarray.

I don't know how to say goodbye,
Its bad, I can't tell a lie.
I don't want to bring on us the Shame,
Of broken vows, our love to lame.
I can't desert you and go on like everything is okay,
Or depart and betray your stay.

I don't know how to say goodbye,
Be glad I don't want to make you cry,
I can't say goodbye,
I don't want to loosen this tie.
