I Don't Need Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I Don't Need

You do things just to see how I react
love goes astray we have fallen off track
it's like we're headed near the finished line
Just about every night it's been on my mind

I don't know where it's going
or if we will be fine
All that i continue hearing
baby, I'll do you better
It's the same song
that plays on repeat
and I want to believe
this is what you mean

Why you putting me in danger
I don't need
You know you're taking me for granted
I don't need
You know I forgiven you with chances
you don't need
someday you will figure out
since it's not going hit you now
You'll be coming up with questions
Trying to find answers for a lesson
where you should of took heed

Can we talk about this for a minute?
because everything will soon get worse from now
If you are serious we have no time to play
or else we can choose to go our separate ways

What's the problem now?
how can we figure this out?
It can't be just me
no, It can't be baby
We are losing our hold
We are getting so cold
Use to keep one another warm
Now the flame is burning out
