I Don't Wanna See You Now

Despite the eagerness in me to see you again
I don't wanna see you now
There is still a lot ahead
I don't wanna lose you again
Not to distance
Not to time factor
Not even to the challenges ahead
Not to the struggles that will be encountered
I don't wanna see you today
I wanna see you tomorrow
When there will be no reason to leave you
When there will be no bridge between us
When there will be nothing to take you away from me
Or me from you
I don't wanna see you in my present
I wanna see you in my future
I don't wanna see you as part of fate
I wanna see you as part of destiny
I just don't wanna see you now
But wanna see you later

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
