I Fell Off The Roof Dream Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

I Fell Off The Roof Dream

I fell off the roof
I fell off the roof
And I thought I would hurt my feet
But I fell deep
Yes I didn't hurt my feet
Because I fell deep
in quick sand
And I reached out my hand
But no one would give me a hand
So I kept sinking deep
In quicksand
So I felt alone
But then I remembered my cell phone
and realize I wasn't alone
So I tried to dial your number
but because there was so much quicksand I couldn't get you dear
but instead got the wrong number
And some voice sounding weird
Said why did you call me
Can't you see I'm busy
So I said I'm sinking in quicksand
And I need some one to give me a hand
Because I'm all alone
And it's hard to dial my phone
But he said I'm an American
And I'm too busy man
With my own individual self
So you have to call someone else
then he hang up the phone
And I heard the dial tone
then I woke up from my dream
and contemplated and scheme
What could this mean
Are all american's
Not interested in helping their fellow man
Well maybe I'm wrong
If your listening to this song
Then reach out and help
With your time or wealth
