I Found A Poem Poem by Stephanie Partridge

I found a poem in my mind
It just sprung up one day
Inspired by all the people
That have crossed my road

This poem had a long journey
That started in my soul
It found the door to my heart
Then traveled up my throat

It squeezed its way into my brain
Where it built up so much
Then on one depressing day
It brought a little help.

It made me laugh and jump for joy
As I searched for a pen
The ink flowed so fast
That my page was soon filled.

It brought me lots of happiness
And turned my day around
This poem was so wonderful
I swear the paper shined

You don't have to believe my words
As long as I know it's true
I'll read this poem everyday
And maybe I'll shine too.
