I Have To Accept Poem by Francis Duggan

I Have To Accept

I have to accept what life to me does bring
And I am my own person and I do my own thing
To hurt others feelings I am uninclined
I don't like those who treat others in ways unkind
I do not have a God for to kneel to and pray
One of the Earthly damned religious fundimentalists of me would say
To Karma for my sins some price I must pay
What goes around comes around life is that way
I do not need others my praises to sing
And I only fear death so to life I do cling
So many worse off than me in the big World out there
The battlers in life one can meet anywhere
To those who respect me respect I have shown
And I do feel lucky in the good people I've known.
