I Imagine Poem by Samantha Belsey

I Imagine

It's infinite space, stars bulging, floating
Planets colliding, merging brave new world's
It's vast blank pages ready to be writ,
Words wait for creation, solace in ink.

It's limitless paths, oceans, forests not found
Creatures discovered, whole species to see.
It's monumental encounters with hope
Hearts soaring, leaping to rhythm and beat.

It's a child engrossed in innocent play
Forging battlements twining sticks to swords,
It's beautiful princesses in high towers,
Dragons flying, breathing vicious hot flames.

I imagine, set my mind free of pain,
Unlock this soul, open your eyes again.
