I Just Want To Go Home Poem by Martin Greyford

I Just Want To Go Home

Rating: 5.0

Mom, I'm sorry
I didn't intend to do this
They just forced me.

I didn't have an option
They said they will kill my family
If I don't do exactly what they want of me.

My mission was to protect my country
Not to kill innocent lives in cold wars
I did not know that it will lead to this.

I've failed as a man
I can't do this anymore
I just want to go home.

I can't stand
Seeing millions fall
At the shot of my gun

And that of my fellow country-men.
This is insane
I can't be part of it anymore.
