I Just Wish To Live Poem by Francis Duggan

I Just Wish To Live

My own sins and sins against me I wish to forgive
And follow the guidelines of live and let live
And get on with my life and live for today
Though to Karma for my sins I know I must pay
I feel no desire to be anyone's judge
Or against another to harbour a grudge
We should not judge others their lives are their own
As a kind sort of person I'd like to be known
The one who finds pleasure in putting others down
Is never the most popular one in the town
Respect is something you earn not what you demand
That is something that is not hard to understand
I just wish to live for as long as I can
And know of peace of mind when I am an old man.
