I Kissed You Once Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

I Kissed You Once

I kissed you once
when we were kids
you couldn't stop
thinking about it

you carved my name
in your closet door
you held me tight
I came back for more

but we were kids
and grew apart
life moved on
now here we are

I kissed you once
it could happen again
we could be more
than when we were kids

I kissed you once
all you did was smile
you signed my cast
we played a while

Years go by
you come to town
we go out
my mind is wow

I come to visit
as often as I could
you move to Dallas
but we blew up

I kissed you once
it could happen again
we could be more
than we were then

I kissed you once
it could happen again
I wrote this song
you'll hear in the wind

I kissed you once
it could happen again
Ill be right here
waiting for you to say when

I kissed you once
it could happen again
