I Lived A Life Poem by James W. Spain

I Lived A Life

Rating: 5.0

I lived a life,
perhaps unlike yours,
but a life it was.

I dreamed and I loved
and I left a print on this earth.

Recognized and remembered
I sleep in peace,
for I was someone.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem as a tribute to New Hampshire Hospital patients that died and were never memorialized in a proper way. There are 120 patients buried at the Blossom Hill Cemetery "State Lot" in Concord, NH. This poem was engraved on their gravestone in recognition of the life that they lived. May they rest in peace.
