This hangover has taken its prey
When I open my eyes to the day
There's a man playing drums in my brain
My breath's like a sewer pipe drain
I don't think I can raise myself from my bed
While Keith Moon's ghost is right there in my head
A blinding light shines right through the pain
‘I won't ever go drinking again! '
The hangover's finally got me I think
With my head face down in the sink
The toilet flush sounds just like a train
I only vaguely remember my name
There's a sandpaper strip, I think it's my tongue
And the cold remains of last nights ‘foo yung'
And though I'm not usually one to complain
I'm never going drinking again
My eyes are redder than Mars
So the hangover has left all its scars
Inside my stomach has now declared war
As it reels and it sinks through the floor
And as I stumble through alcohols fog
To the thought of the ‘hair of the dog'
I'd then be finally committed insane
If I ever went drinking again
