I'Ll Pretend It Doesn'T Hurt

A menace to my heart, made of thin crystal,
easy to break.
I'll imagine my heart isn't shattered.

A menacing gas, fuming behind me,
ignited with flames.
I'll imagine my heart isn't on fire.

Chained to disturbance, deteriorating as time passes,
heart broken.
We'll say i'm at a state of tranquility.

Eyes full of tears, and a heart filled with agony,
I know i've lost my love.
We'll say it's better to have loved and lost than not be loved at all.

An injured expression hides, you've took peices of me,
My flesh is revealed.
I'll pretend the pain does not effect me.

Douse the torn flesh in peroxide, allow the cuts to dry out,
and dry my doleful tears.
I'll pretend it doesn't hurt.

-The sadness crushes me,

'It does not hurt me'.....

-This heart break pains me,

I'll continue to pretend.....
