I Love You Poem by Catherine Agunat

I Love You

Rating: 5.0

I love you....

I said it to you with the wind
playing like a puppy in the sand,
or furious as a tempestuous organ.

I said it to you with the sun
that tans young naked bodies
and smiles at all innocent things.

I said it to you with the clouds,
melancholic facades holding
up the sky, runaway sadness.

I said itto you with plants,
delicate sheer beings that cover
themselves in sudden blush.

I said it to you with water,
luminous life watching
a dark bottom.

I said it to you with fear,
Isaid it to you with happiness,
with weariness,
with the worst words.

However, it is not enough for me:

Beyond life,
I want to say it toyou with death.

Beyond love,
I want to say it to you with oblivion.
