I Love You For More Than Your Beauty Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Love You For More Than Your Beauty

Beauty is obviously temporary
But the stain of love is eternal
I love you for more than your beauty
I love you for your passion and your energy
I love you because you are essential
In my life and I can't live without you by me
I love your wit, your wisdom and your style
I am always thinking of your gorgeous smile
Which is the sunshine of my long journey
And the moon of my lonely nights
Sometimes, it seems that I miss the little fights
(I am talking about the friendly ones
Where there are no punches, no violence)
The hand in hand in the park around the bay
The personal and confidential discussions
The stares, the stern looks and the quick reactions
And the jokes that make us laugh out loud and very happy
Can't you see, my darling, my baby
That I admire you for more than your beauty
I love you for your presence, your accent and your tease
Especially, when you sacrifice yourself to please
My good and bad habits, my selfishness and my clumsiness
Oh! I love you for bringing peace, love, comfort and happiness
To my heart. You're more than a puff or a squall of fresh air
You're indispensable to me. At times, you're kind and fair
You understand what love and justice are all about, my darling
I love you for more than your body. Sweetheart, let me sing
Let me pray for our eternal love, our union and our relationship
Let's not waste time with words; let's board the cruise ship.
