I'M An Illusion Poem by Catie Pipkin

I'M An Illusion

I'm an illusion

I'm not here

You think you see me

Only when I let you

When I reveal my secrets that don't hurt to release

Not half as bad as the ones that stab at my insides and I am sworn to secrecy

My mind resides under a guarded bridge

Not guarded by me but by my inhabitants

They don't want me known

They won't let me go
