I'm not the smartest egg in the whole world
I don't claim to be a super hero
I'm just a guy who plays guitar
I don't claim to be a superstar

Give me a dollar and I'll play you a song
Get the words right but if I get them wrong
It only means I'm just like you
I make mistakes and you do to

Sometimes I'm clever and sometimes I'm dum
Sometimes I'm smart and sometimes I can run
But mostly I just play guitar
It got me somewhere but not that far

I once had a plan to rule the world
I was going to be a guitar hero
But it just seems to be a buffed up plan
Now I'd rather just a be a humble man
