I'M Sorry Poem by Thomas Roberts

I'M Sorry

I met you on a Thursday
Fell in love that same day
I got you all alone
and thought you felt the same way
I wanted to kiss you
but did not want to scare you
and make you run away

You made my days better
Just by showing up in them
I would count down the hours
Until you made an apperance
And I would smile
And you would smile back

So I wrote you this love song
Which you sang as a sad song
And it left me hurting
And you were just laughing
And said it's exactly
What I deserved

Now with all of my suave
And all of my cunning
I wanted you to think
I was so charming
But you saw right through it
And Wouldn't believe

I told you everything
We seemed so in sinc
I thought I knew that
it was meant to be
But then suddenly
You wouldn't talk to me

So I wrote you this love song
Which you sang as a sad song
And it left me hurting
And you were just laughing
And said it's exactly
What I deserve

You moved on without me
And I was trying
To understand exactly
What I did
To hurt you
The way I did

But you wouldn't tell me
And it hurt me equally
But there's just one difference
You forgot all about me
And it may mean nothing
But I'm truely sorry

So I wrote you this love song
Which you sang as a sad song
And it left me hurting
And you were just laughing
And said it's exactly
What I deserved
