I’m Sure Poem by Michael P. Johnson

I’m Sure

Rating: 1.0

I’m sure my God You live inside
In spite of all my flaws
I’m sure You’ll be my constant Guide
Holding my hand in Yours

Though hungrily Your word I read
Although my faith is sure
I need The Truth I need to feed
I need my God still more

Both day and night dear God I pray
Seeking Your face above
My very soul’s in disarray
For wanting of Your love

You hear my call my humble cry
My heart in such a spin
For You alone can satisfy
The yearning surge within

However near however far
However long I live
How intimate my God You are
How much You long to give

To Jesus Lord I’m holding strong
Each day is such a thrill
Yet more and more for You I long
To take me closer still

Allow me feel Your presence now
Caress me whilst I’m here
Still more my god I pray endow
And vanquish every fear

These things by faith I know you’ll give
Your will is my delight
And so I live in hope to live
Obedient in Your sight
