I'm Writing From The Heart Here, Poem by John Ackerman

I'm Writing From The Heart Here,

A lot of times as poets we are sort of grasping at straws as we come near the no it all.
In part or certain way we have criticized another's words,
We can only do what we can do at times we have to suck it up and be a man
Let the reader understand,
Preachers and teachers the decision is there's
Translation toward investigation the quest is on them

Poetry can heal the awful wounds that society puts forth,
By writing things down & sharing with each other;
In order to deter and detect we need to create a space
In the heart we can share with others this heavy load

An old widow on the farm we let loose and belong
the moments out of agreed sadness will help to take notice
Tragedy to a great household need it's clear we need a voice that will set us free
