I Met An Angel Poem by Gillian Commerford

I Met An Angel

I met an angel
humming lullabies
his hands were full of apples
his heart merely full
of other people's sorrows.
And now I find myself regenerated
my old face falls away
the door of the labyrinth closes behind me
a soapy moon cleanses the sky
a child rides by on the back of a wolf
