I Need You Poem by LeighAnna Williams

peering past and further on
i see another standing there in my place looking scared.
lights burned out screams singing just a little softer
i figure no one is there
searching on and on
nothing else looking lost
but me
i walk faster
stumbling over the edge that follows the dark
falling harder as the skies around me swallow every tear
i let flow out.
wishing he would save me when he knows i need
him here i feel so distant in his arms even when
he's holding my hands.
i cry for pain
i cry for loneliness
i cry for heartache
i cry for regret
i cry for forgiveness
i pray he holds my words and knows
something i don't.
i'm looking for something
i'm falling down harder and faster each time
he says he's here
so i keep getting up but
what will happen to me when he's done catching me?
please still be here for me too.
you know i need you.
