I opened up my heart

I decided to open up my heart today
After years of keeping myself closed
People have told me about my wall
It has just taken time is all

There were many heart aches
There were many pains
There were many hopful desires
There were many up in flames

I had a sister once
She is dead and I am glad
She didn't suffer in this life
3 days was all she had

I decided to open my heart today
I decided to see what was inside
I opened up my heart
And it was full of blood

Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
