I Pity Those Struggling With Inner Strife Poem by Francis Duggan

I Pity Those Struggling With Inner Strife

I pity those struggling with inner strife
They are missing out on the best thing in life
Which is happiness which does lead to peace of mind
Though a truly happy person is one hard to find
Laugh and the World laughs with you seems true after all
Some are never happy though their worries are small
And pity the wealthiest one in the town
With the weight of worries by stress weighted down
The influence of power through money many do pursue
But that money cannot buy you happines does seem so true
That the town's saddest person may be well off financially
Such can be the case or so such seems to be
'Tis true money can buy you most everything
Though happiness to one it does not always bring.
