I Quit Poem by Tanvi Gupta

I Quit

Rating: 5.0

'I am not a looser', she said
Held onto every thread
Of the hope left in her
Never letting her will deter

Lit every heart she met
Never anyone saw her fret
The one thing she desired most
Was the one she always lost

Never letting her guard down
Hopes always drove off frown
Dying fire she kept reviving
With all her might she kept fighting

She found what she needed
On the brink of dying fire
The candle was again ignited
Only to get blown up by zephyr

This was the final hit
Making her eventually say
'I Quit'

Beautiful poem although the end was not what I expected. Nicely expressed

Dying fire she kept reviving With all her might she kept fighting On the brink of dying fire The candle was again ignited Shall never quit, come what may. Fight back with determination……. Thank you for all the images and imaginations with which you present your views, problems, and sorrow. Thank you. This is a good poem.. it made me think. tony
