I saw a girl

I saw a girl
As sweet as a pearl
She was standing by the beach
Her eyes were shining as the sun
She seemed very jolly
Her jollyness seemed as sweet as strawbery jelly
I eet her in the school
I felt she was very cool
Her name was marilad
She made me mad
What if I love her ever?
And forget her never
But if i am not able to hold her for ever
Today my love
Seems like a free dove
Today I am mee
And I can see
That today the music seems so loud
With the singing shouting cloud
And I am dancing all arround.

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
